I've written previously about the wonderful buying experience I had at Algona Marine when I purchased my boat in 2014. I'd now like to emphasize Algona Marine's commitment to service after the sale.

This past fall of 2016 I was bringing my boat to Algona for winterization. As I was traveling on the highway I was unlucky enough to have a deer decide to collide with my boat and trailer. The boat escaped most of the damage but the trailer wasn't as fortunate. Long story short, the trailer wasn't totaled but sustained tremendous damage. Right after calling the sheriff and a towing service, I called Algona Marine. Needless to say I was a bit rattled, but Chad assured me they would take care of both me and my boat. What an understatement! These guys did an amazing job communicating with my insurance company and providing the needed documentation to help the claims process move forward smoothly. They could not have been more helpful. Doug in the service department did incredible work as well and my trailer is essentially brand new.

To say that I am once again 100 percent satisfied with Algona Marine does not do them justice. These folks care about their customers and that has been proven to me repeatedly.

I bought a 1625 Rebel XL from Lance. I had looked a long time to find what I wanted. Algona Marine had what I wanted, so I took the 1.5 hour drive to take a look. Lance was working that Saturday and we came to a price. I told him I would let him know Monday. He wouldn't tell me till after I took the boat that someone else was also looking at it. The whole staff at Algona Marine made me feel at home. We came to a good price. Just waiting on the snap on cover was worth the trip.

It was a pleasure to purchase my "new to me" boat from Algona Marine. The salestaff was eager to work with me & provided a fair trade value for my previouse boat. The additional itms that I also purchased....boat cover, spare rim, and wheel were ready when I came to pick up my new boat.I appreciated a walk through orientation to the use of my boat before leaving the lot. First think I want to say is WOW what a bunch of friendly, polite, and professional people at Algona Marine & Sport. It was a pleasure doing business with them. I've bought new boats in the past from other dealers but have never had an enjoyable experience like the one I received from these people. The new Lund 2075 Pro V IFS is beautiful and a thrill to fish out of. It's everything Chad and Bill said it would be and much more. A lot of people have asked me why I would drive 2 hours from my home to purchase a new boat or have work done on my boat. I tell them that if they want someone that really knows how to work on boats or motors and can give you an honest deal on a boat and that you can trust, they would drive that far too.To be real honest, I can't see myself ever buying a boat from anyone else in the future!Thanks everyone at Algona Marine for making my dream come true and putting me in that new 2012 Lund 2075 ProV. The Activities Director took our client on a dinner cruise three months ago. The resident really enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, the boat did not allow everyone to participate. We looked for three months for a boat and dealer who could meet our needs for a quality product and outstanding service.Algona Marine exceeded our requirements. The staff is competent, experienced, and courteous. Although we traveled to Algona, IA to purchase our new Bentley 220 Encore Cruise pontoon boat, the trip was definitely worth the drive.We were concerned that distance would prevent us from receiving the service required of a new boat owner. However, we are totally satisfied with the efficiency, speed, and dedication of Algona staff to provide necessary service.On behalf of the residents of Comfort Home of Delta, we want to express our appreciation for a wonderful addition to our activity program.

They were good people to deal with and didn't pressure you into buying a boat. When I picked the new boat up they got my boat in right away and started taking things off that I wanted off my boat & installed on the new boat. They took the time to explain things on the motor and how to service it.

The sales process with Bill and Chad was very smooth. The guys made sure that the price was fair and that I had the options that I needed on my Lund. I traveled to Algona from Des Moines relying only on pictures and the phone assistance from Bill the boat was exactly as they had represented. Bill took time to do a thorough walk-through on the boat explaining the various functions and maintenance points. This was only the start with Algona Marine. I had a big fishing trip planned one week later and upon my trial run of all of the equipment and boat in Des Moines, I ran into an unforeseen mechanical issue. I called Bill and Chad within 15 minutes Billy hit the road from Algona to repair my boat (in Des Moines!). Billy left Des Moines to return home at 9:00 at night after we had put it back on the water to make sure everything was up and running! He said he wouldnt feel right leaving if we did not test it! Needless to say it is not often you find a business that holds up to its promise to stand behind their product. Algona Marine lived its promise. Thanks for an excellent buying experience!

Several years ago my son and I started talking about getting a new boat. I was already the owner of a 16 ft. Lund w/tiller but decided I wanted to upsize. Being new to the area we set out to a local dealer. When considering making a purchase that large and getting what I wanted and needed was a major factor in my mind. Well, apparently the dealership we went to did not. Not only did they apparently not care they wouldn't even talk to us. So my son said, "To heck with them if they don't care about us then we will take our business and money to someone who does. That in itself presented a problem because as I said I was new to the area. But I did know someone I could ask; he owned a boat. So I did just that and he recommended ALGONA MARINE. So that is where I went and would become the proud owner of a 19 ft. Lund, that met my specifications. I was treated like they cared about my satisfaction. So with many good times to remember with that 19 ft. Lund, yes, that upsizing feeling came upon me again. The buddy who first recommended ALGONA MARINE was also thinking of upsizing. So with no hesitation we set out for ALGONA MARINE. And yes, once again became owners of, this time 21 ft. Lund that met our specifications. I don't know that I will be doing anymore upsizing but if I ever decide to, there is no doubt that I know exactly who I will go to and that is ALGONA MARINE.

Now that the 2008 fishing season has drawn to a close and I was making plans for 2009, my wife asked me a question. "How did your boat work," thinking back for a moment I said "Just like the previous one." Her next question was "Haven't you purchased all of them from Algona Marine? Aren't there other dealers around?" Which got me to thinking why have I purchased 4 boats from a dealership that is 140 miles from my home in Altoona, IA? I began explaining why and the number one reason is I AM A FISHERMAN, a boat is just one part of the equation. Recalling the details of my purchases leads me to answer the what, where, when and why questions asked by you. This process insured that my boat would make me a happy owner and future customer of your dealership. I know change is always in the wind, but never forget what makes you what you are. Happy customers return and do more business. Unhappy customers don't.

Just a note of appreciation for the work Billy did on my boats this spring. After putting both boats in the water, they did not run smooth and Billy went to the lake and tuned them both up. My powerboat is working now better than it has the entire fifteen years I have owned it.
